Mention going solar to most people, and the chances are that they will roll their eyes. Branded as too expensive, inefficient, or simply dismissed as a scam, solar energy seems to have something of a bad rep. Well, what if I told you that my experience buying a solar energy system has been nothing but positive?
In fact, I am so pleased with my purchase—and the whole experience, for that matter, that I want to share it with everyone. Oh, I’m well aware that my testimony is just one in an endless ocean on the internet, but I want to write it regardless. If it persuades at least one person to give solar power a shot, then that is good enough for me!
An Enticing Offer
To tell you the truth, I was never someone who tried to keep up with technology. Sure, I can work a computer and have no trouble with my cell phone, but I’ve never bought a new piece of tech just because it was new. For me to consider investing in anything, I need to know that it’ll be worth my while. The phrase “green energy” also never meant anything to me; power is power, however they tried to brand it.
No, my interest in solar energy came from entirely practical reasons: convenience and the potential savings. And the offer proposed by the incredible people at Atlantic Key Energy was simply too good to pass up. Free energy after a one-time purchase, with the possibility of financing, state and federal tax credits, a whopping 25-year manufacturer’s warranty, and more? The unexpectedly long list of benefits was enough to buy me over.
I had to know more, so I got on the phone and gave Atlantic Key Energy a call. One thing led to another, and before long we were already discussing installation. Was I thinking clearly? I was really about to go through with such a major decision, and on a whim, too!
As it later turned out, that was one of the best decisions of my life.
The Installation, or the Worst Part
If there ever was a downside to my experience buying a solar energy system, it would be the installation process. For a while, your home stops being your own, as handymen spread out like worker bees to attach the panels to your rooftops and connect the whole system to work in tandem with your regular utility grid.
I’m not going to lie—I was relieved when they were done. On the upside, the whole process took less time than I expected. Maybe I was so hyped by what was to come that time simply flew by for me. Either way, after they set my grid, I said goodbye to the technicians from Atlantic Key Energy, and my life in a solar-powered home was about to start.
Cheap Power, Forever
Since then, I can say that my energy bill has taken a nosedive, and I have never been happier. The solar power grid does only function by day and has a limited capacity, but I had to work very hard to start drawing from the utility grid. And when the solar grid doesn’t produce energy—at night, electricity is cheaper anyway! The savings are truly unreal, and I get to keep saving money from power bills forever!
In Conclusion: Solar Panels Are Amazing And You Should Get Them As Soon As Possible
Whoever said that solar energy is not for everyone has obviously never even tried it. Sure, it may not give you complete independence from the utility grid, but ask yourself: does that really matter? A solar power grid will let you spend less money in the long run; what more could you need?
So, yes, I would call my experience buying a solar energy system entirely amazing. Everyone should at least consider the option.
